Technical Requirements

Recommended PC requirements for PARCS

  • PARCS9 will run on bascily any windows version with 4g+ ram

  • For multiple computers - Networking use Gigabit (Switch, cables, networkcards)

  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for PC 500VA+ or better on each PC station (PC + Monitor to allow graceful shutdown)

  • Printer, Monitor, USB thumb drive to backup data

  • Internet - Not Required, you can run PARCS in isolated data areas
    (With Internet you can send out Confirmation emails and import online reservations requests)


    NOTE: If you are storing CONFIDENTIAL Information on your PC you should use full hard drive/OS encyption.

  • Magnetic Card Reader - POS-X (Xm95) USB

  • Bar Code Scanner - LS2208 USB Scanner (LS2208-1AZU0100S)

  • Receipt Printer - POS-X Xr520 USB Interface w/ Autocutter

  • Cash Drawer - MMF Cash Drawer Val-u Line Cash Drawer (225-1516442-04) - Requires Printer Cable

NOTE: No credit Card numbers data should be keeped in PARCS OR ON YOUR PC

PARCS desktop shortcut string ORG modify to use new local folder

In new folder copy theres files:
P9000.INI  (default info file for maps)
P9000.jpg  (Map picture)
P9000.map (Map hotspots)
P9000CD.mde  (The PARCS program)
P9000DB.mdb  (PARCS database with all of Park's info)
T9000.mdb  (Temporary data and postal codes)

Create shortcut icon to P9000CD.mde relink DB
Include email template files and in setup point to new location (P9000_email.htm default file)

Verifone No Longer Supports PCCharge

• October 1, 2015 – Verifone no longer supports PCCharge
As well, your system will be in PCI non-compliant.
Stop using PCCharge and use a Desktop EVM (Chip and Pin) machine as mandated

NOTE: If you are storing CONFIDENTIAL Information on your PC you should use full hard drive/OS encyption software like Microsoft Bit Locker.
 NO CREDIT CARD NUMBERS SHOULD BE STORED IN PARCS OR ON YOUR PC
